Modelling classes

Nathalie Domingo teaches courses in hand building and ceramic arts in her well-appointed studio in Sevres, just outside of Paris.

Working with small groups, Nathalie gives courses for total beginners or clay enthusiasts seeking more experience. Students explore pinching, slab building, coiling, exploring forms and textures, and decorating with engobes, glazes, and Mishima. Clays used include white and black earthenware; red, black, and white stoneware; and porcelain.

Courses also focus on the work of contemporary ceramic artists and their techniques. While at the studio, students can freely consult an extensive library of books on ceramic art as well as numerous technical journals and magazines. 

The costs of materials and firing are all included in the price of the courses.

Classes for teenagers

Karine Hilaire

Karine Hilaire is a ceramic artist who comes from the world of luxury product design. In the form of a design agency, she is now offering a course for teenagers (aged 13 and over) in which they can uncover any new phenomenon and novelties that are affecting the world of art, design and contemporary creation. 
Together, they will take apart the work of a particular designer, exploring the artist’s medium, colours, shapes, outlines, and style.
This course will also include collage, decoupage, and work with textiles.

Porcelain Course

Nathalie Domingo is renowned for her work with delicate porcelain filaments. She encourages an open mind to creativity and brings the full benefit of her own experience as an artist as she introduces students to multiple techniques for working with liquid porcelain. Discover and experiment with the many different possibilities of this medium. This is a two or four day course and can be part of a professional training programme.

Private lessons / Personal projects

If you wish to work on a personal project, Nathalie Domingo also offers private lessons for both beginners and experienced ceramic artists. These lessons can be one-off or take place on a regular basis either at Nathalie Domingo’s studio or at your own creative space. In addition to traditional ceramic techniques, Nathalie Domingo will share her uninhibited and unconventional approach to creating form and texture, in the very same way she approaches her own work.
She is also available to advise those who are seeking assistance with a personal project, or wanting help in setting up a ceramic studio.
Private lessons or consultations last a minimum of 3 hours and can take place on weekdays and/or at the weekend. An individualized programme and fee structure will be established before individual sessions take place.
